A former All-Pac-10 and Easton All-American catcher at Oregon State, Shelly Prochaska was named Pacific's interim head softball coach in November of 2023.
The 2004 graduate has served in roles at the Division I (OSU, Boise State, CSU Bakersfield, University of North Dakota, Idaho State, II (Sonoma State) and III (Kenyon College) levels in the last two decades and will lead the pitching staff for the Boxers.
Her most recent roles were at her alma mater where the Beavers earned a berth in the 2022 Women's Softball College World Series and the coaching staff was named Pacific Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
Playing in 260 games and making 254 starts from 2000-03, the majority coming at catcher, Prochaska participated in more games than any Beaver in school history. She became the first OSU softball player to record 200 hits, 100 RBIs and 100 runs scored in her career. Prochaska is still in the top-10 for: single season (209) and career (746) at bats, single-season (48) and career (121) RBI, career singles (159), career doubles (35), career hits (210) and career base on balls (87).
